Purley Oak train station is just a short walk away where you can take your pick from Victoria or London Bridge as destinations – both around 25 minutes’ travel time. Alternatively, Gatwick Airport is just 26 minutes in the other direction. Road links are excellent too, with the A23 a matter of minutes away, providing fast, easy access to London, the South Coast and the M25. 

There are a number of excellent schools within close proximity including the very popular Wallington Girls, Wilson’s, Whitgift, John Fisher, Margaret Roper and Thomas Moore to name just a few.

If you’re feeling a little more active there are a number of local health and leisure clubs to choose from, whilst excellent golf courses, recreation grounds and other open spaces are all close by including the wide-open spaces of Riddlesdown Common, Kenley Common and the recreational facilities of Kenley Airfield. A little further afield there’s Croydon – offering the kind of facilities you’d expect from a larger town including major shopping, the soon to be developed "Westfield" Centre and the trendy "Box Park" next to East Croydon station.

Sanderstead is a quiet Town, ideally located, close to the neighbouring town of Purley and within easy access of Croydon with its comprehensive shopping facilities. Thanks to its close proximity to London, with three railway stations and being just a short drive to the M23 and M25, Sanderstead town is the perfect commuter location, offering great transport links and conveniently positioned close to amenities. 

Sanderstead has wide and long pavements and indoor cafés from which to watch many of the London-Brighton rallies (vintage cars, minis, Land Rovers, vintage commercial vehicles, motorbikes, cycling etc.) 

A good selection of both state and private schools are located nearby, the town itself is situated on the edge of lovely countryside offering plenty of outdoor activities and pursuits.
